Postdoc Science Communication Speed Conference
Your are invited to The 3 Minute Slam, a speed conference for postdocs at UBC. We particularly need presenters, so please sign up and represent Biodiversity!
When? Friday June 14th, 3 pm to 5:30 pm, followed by a catered evening reception
Where? Michael Smith labs (right next door!), room 102
What is happening? A series of 3 minute lighting talks done by postdocs from many different disciplines with the aid of one slide.
Please feel free to sign up to present your project! (or just to come listen). Cash prizes will be given out for the three best talks. A keynote lecture on science communication will be given by Kaylee Byers and Michael Unger, the people behind Nerd Nite Vancouver. The event is followed by a networking reception with free food and refreshments.
Everyone can attend, but the 3 minute talk competition is only open to postdocs. Please register SOON (deadline May 30th)
